New to sea moss?

Start with Gold Pure — it's the plainest jar and the easiest to take straight. The label says 1–2 tablespoons daily: a spoonful in the morning and one at night.

Before you start

Sea moss is a natural source of iodine, and the amount varies between harvests. If you have a thyroid condition, take thyroid medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before adding it to your routine.

01

Where Irish moss grows

Rock, cold water and a long history in the kitchen.

Irish moss is a red seaweed that grows on rock along the Atlantic coast, in cold, moving water that the tide covers and uncovers. In Ireland it has been simmered into set puddings for generations, and it is still known there as carrageen. Our gold jars are made from sea moss the label calls wildcrafted Irish.

The gold jars

What each label says.

Gold Pure: wildcrafted Irish sea moss, purified water and lime juice. The plainest jar we make.

Gold Raspberry and Mango: the same gold gel with raspberry or mango added, printed on each label. The starter kit comes with a jar of Gold Pure.

Keep refrigerated after opening.

03

Irish moss vs other sea moss

The names overlap.

"Irish moss" and "sea moss" are not always the same thing: the second name also covers warm-water seaweeds, some of them farmed. What makes it Irish moss has its own page, and so does gold vs purple sea moss.

Prefer purple? See those jars. They are labeled wildcrafted purple sea moss, with no country stated.

Start with Gold Pure.

The plainest jar in the range, and the easiest one to cook with.
